<edit> you know, I just spent ages writing a post about the weekend in Beijing and then my computer crashed and lost most of it, I’m out of time (on my way down to Shenzhen), but this is the little bit it auto-saved with some random pics at the end!

That Swiss James over at that website reckons that I fall asleep in bars a lot, I say it’s because of the company I keep but that’s beside the point because as Woai has already mentioned I was beaten to it in Beijingrrrrr by “John”.

Ignore the time on Swiss James’s timepiece, he was constantly winding it up and correcting the time, I doubt there’s any mechanism in that watch at all.

It was a great weekend though, i’ve never really spent any time in Beijing except for business but Woai, having lived there for years knew exactly where to go. It’s interesting that Beijing is so different from Shanghai, I don’t know what it is, but it’s a lot less hectic, there are a lot cooler bars and you can get great British food (fish and chips on day one and a proper full english breakfast on day two). continue reading…
