If you’re in Shanghai and in the mood for queuing you could do a lot worse than make your way across to Luwan district where queues of almost infinite length are the norm.

Whether it’s queuing to get into expo, queuing inside expo (ok, that’s strictly just across the river for the busy bits), or even queuing for mooncakes (pic below), Luwan has everything the discerning queuist could wish for!

The sum of the lengths of all the mooncake queues is greater than the distance to the moon, not even our moon but one of those fancy fiery ones that whips round Jupiter, or Saturn, or Arrakis or something, and that's in Luwan district alone
