I opened the fridge in the office on Friday to find this:

fridge egg

A manky old fried egg on a tissue

The question is, how on earth did it get there? Did someone remember their lunch but forget the box? Or did they eat their lunch and decide to save the egg for later (later in the month by the looks of it), surely they’d have popped it back in the lunchbox though? And why is it covered in coffee grounds?

I’m not sure how long it’s been there, if only I’d paid more attention when I was popping my chicken curry into the fridge first thing in the morning I might have had the answer to that whole chicken/egg question, but I don’t, I’m guessing it was the egg though, by a considerable amount of time..

In other news someone recognised me and James from our blogs on Friday night and got us started on tequila slammers in the Beaver, when you read this (and you know who you are) let me tell you something, you are a swine and I hate you!!! It’s midday on Sunday and I still have a headache!

Extra Update!! (dreadful pun removed on advice of publishers)

I had a check again after lunch today and surely enough it’s still there, bless it’s cotton socks.

egg day 4

Seriously though, I think the original owner has abandoned it, under Chinese law the egg may now be eaten by a third party.

If you are an interested third party please contact for further details.

As requested by Swiss James, here is a picture of the other side of the egg:
