It’s a well known fact theory that beer and tea were both developed as ways of purifying water (more here), except beer was developed in the west and tea in Asia. How different the UK would be if some guy in the ancient middle east had figured out that just boiling the water was a much much easier (but a lot lot less enjoyable) way of purifying water than sprouting grains, and then grinding, baking, boiling, mashing, fermenting etc)

There is a phhhhhhhhhhht when you open the can, I was surprised, I was expecting it to be flat! What’s not good however is the pungent aroma that hit me straight away, getting flashbacks to snake baijiu at Harleys.

As for the taste, well, despite my colleague urging me not to waste my money it’s not as bad as I expected, it’s kind of like crap shandy with a slight metally taste, oh and a bit soapy too. Ok, straight down the sink with the rest of it..

So, there you have it, Beer Flavoured Green Tea and at a mere 0.5% alcohol you can probably drink about 15 cans and still operate hazardous machinery!
