Americans, Is This Really What You Eat For Breakfast??

If anyone can show me an example of a less appetising breakfast I’ll treat them to one of the above breakfasts at Pudong Airport (terminal 1), a snip at around 60rmb (almost 10USD). Or you can choose their equally appetising “Continental Breakfast”:

On the upside I saw the first evidence of Scottish cooking being exported to another country here in Taiwan last night:

Scorching hot and ice cold at the same time – deep fried ice cream, at a Korean barbecue (the worst I ever had in my life) in Taiwan.

The Korean and Japanese on both photos says “American Breakfast”.

Congee with a salted egg and some warm soy milk. Yeah- it’s hard to go wrong with that isn’t it?

For the record, I had baked beans for the first time a few weeks ago while in N. Ireland and those are friggin delicious.

eric, I think it’s ‘bacon’ actually, god knows!
Which terminal are you flying from? Terminal two is considerably better than 1. There’s 1 decent place in 1, about halfway down the gates, opposite the normal shops in a building of it’s own. Hot sandwiches are about 40rmb, latte about the same
