I was reading through the Malaysian Star newspaper on the flight back from Kuala Lumpur and nearly spat my beer out when I turned to this page in the women’s section (the only part I read apart from the cartoons) promoting the Geisha Facial.

The article tells how the treatment was developed in Japan to treat the faces of Geisha who suffered many issues due to the toxic powders they used to make their faces white and found that by taking the faeces from Nightingales (available on ebay) and rubbing it into their faces their skin issues were cured (how the hell do people work these things out??).
